Have You Tried the Biossance Squalane and Vitamin C Oil? (Video Review)

I received a sample of the Biossance Squalene and Vitamin C Oil almost two years ago in a Glossybox. It has been part of my sample stash for a while. When I finally got around to trying the samples last year, I absolutely loved both the Revitalizer (the 100% Squalene Body Oil) and the Nourisher (the 100% Squalene and Vitamin C Rose Oil). The line has since dropped the names Nourisher and Revitalizer, revamped their packaging, and they are now available at Sephora. As far as I can tell, though, it is the same oil. And my skin loves…

Life is Too Short, Buy the Leather Leggings, Already

So you’re thinking that you might want to add leather leggings to your wardrobe, but you’re hesitating to take the plunge. Maybe you think you are too curvy, maybe you think your badoncky is a little too big. Or… …maybe you are very thin and you think the look may be a little too trash baggy. Or… …maybe you are a little older and the thought of shiny pants just seems ridiculous. If you’re thinking any of these things, banish the negative thoughts and go out and get you some-sexiness-in-a pair-of-pants, girl. I know that once upon a time, leather pants were…

Monday Confessions: How About a Vlog To Pass the Time? |Video

First off, I have to say that I hope everyone is having a very reflective and productive Martin Luther King Jr Day! Share love today, share hope today, share peace. So I have to say one thing… Perfection is the enemy of productivity. I am a perfectionist and I have to stop it. I spent the better part of the weekend editing a vlog that was supposed to be up on Friday. Can you see the problem already? I missed my deadline. Ugh!!!! I missed my own self-imposed deadline because I hold myself to this unrealistic and stupid standard that often…

First Impressions Friday Blogmas Edition

So today I have 3 new products that I have tried and that look quite promising. Clinique Uplighting Illuminating Powder in Bronze Glow. This can be used as a highlighter, bronzer, or a setting powder. I purchased it on Wednesday and I used it Thursday and this morning to set my makeup. It gave me a nice glowing finish without being too glittery or making my face shiny and the particular color choice works really well on med to dark brown skin. Although it doesn’t give a matte finish, I have had no problems with oil breaking through. This pressed powder…

First Friday Favorites (Blogmas Edition)

It’s the first Friday of the month, a perfect time to share a few of my favorite beauty and lifestyle items from the month of November. So let’s start with Beauty Faves I am loving the Glossier Boy Brow. It is like a mascara for your eyebrows. There are lot of products like this on the market, but this one is unique in that it is thicker than mascara, so its not just depositing pigment to the brows, but it is also shaping them. I have nearly nonexistent brows. This finds those hairs that I can’t see and leaves me…

Five Favorite Second Cleansers

I am a huge fan of double cleansing. I credit it with really helping to improve my skin tremendously. If you think its hype, look at it this way. At the end of the day, you have makeup and dirt and  life on your face. When you come home, you need to get that stuff off. Sure one cleanser can do it. Some people swear by wipes, micellar waters or just a simple cleanser. And if that’s working for you, that is fine. But if you are finding that you are having problems with your skin, or that your skin…
