First Impressions Friday Blogmas Edition

So today I have 3 new products that I have tried and that look quite promising. Clinique Uplighting Illuminating Powder in Bronze Glow. This can be used as a highlighter, bronzer, or a setting powder. I purchased it on Wednesday and I used it Thursday and this morning to set my makeup. It gave me a nice glowing finish without being too glittery or making my face shiny and the particular color choice works really well on med to dark brown skin. Although it doesn’t give a matte finish, I have had no problems with oil breaking through. This pressed powder…

First Friday Favorites (Blogmas Edition)

It’s the first Friday of the month, a perfect time to share a few of my favorite beauty and lifestyle items from the month of November. So let’s start with Beauty Faves I am loving the Glossier Boy Brow. It is like a mascara for your eyebrows. There are lot of products like this on the market, but this one is unique in that it is thicker than mascara, so its not just depositing pigment to the brows, but it is also shaping them. I have nearly nonexistent brows. This finds those hairs that I can’t see and leaves me…

Five Favorite Second Cleansers

I am a huge fan of double cleansing. I credit it with really helping to improve my skin tremendously. If you think its hype, look at it this way. At the end of the day, you have makeup and dirt and  life on your face. When you come home, you need to get that stuff off. Sure one cleanser can do it. Some people swear by wipes, micellar waters or just a simple cleanser. And if that’s working for you, that is fine. But if you are finding that you are having problems with your skin, or that your skin…

Dior Jelly Sleeping Mask Review

Sleeping masks are definitely moisture game changers. There is nothing like waking up in the morning with skin that feels like the bottom of a newborn’s soft little foot. Because water evaporates from the skin overnight, or in drier conditions, like flying, a sleeping mask is wonderful for drawing and sealing that water back in; it is the ultimate hydration.   My Thoughts Dior is the first sleeping mask that I have actually tried and loved. It is lightweight, not sticky and doesn’t overwhelm your face. You don’t feel as if you have bathed in grease, yet you wake up…

Monday Confessions: I Am Now That Girl

This past weekend I did something that I never thought I’d do. I didn’t want to do. I didn’t even believe (at one time) anyone should do. My how we change our minds. I bought that moisturizer, you know the one, the one from the sea? Yes, that one. I closed my eyes, while the lady inserted my card (because I have that annoying chip now) and When I opened them up, she was handing me the green bag, complete with my moisturizer, samples and even a handy makeup travel bag, a gift with purchase. And off I went, on…

Five Beauty Faves

Here are 5 beauty favorites that I have been loving lately. Dior Hydra life Jelly Sleeping Mask  Aside from the fact that it comes in a heavy, luscious blue glass jar that is like a throwback from a much more glamorous time than now, and it has a divine scent, this mask seals the moisture in throughout the night and I wake up with plump, hydrated, baby foot soft skin. It never occurred to me to add an extra layer more moisture at night until I received a sample of this yummy blue gel-cream. I always believed that because I…
